How to work with me
Fill out the questionnaire, located here, and submit it along with your manuscript.
I will review the manuscript and estimate the hours and degree of editing it will require to get it ready for journal acceptance.
I will give a “not to exceed price” for editing based on the answers to the questions in the questionnaire and my brief review of the paper. I will also give you an estimated delivery date for the edited article. At that point, you can either hire me to edit your paper or not. If you hire me to edit your paper, the job is in progress, and cannot be canceled.
If, during the edit, there are issues that I cannot resolve, I will send you the relevant portion of the paper and ask for clarification. If this happens, and I do not receive a quick response (within 24 hours), it may delay the completion of the edit. I charge $75/hour for editing academic papers. There is an extra charge if this an emergency and the article requires extraordinary priority.
I require a 50% advance deposit for the editing assignment. The balance will be due on delivery of the edited document. I will return two documents, one with track changes so that you can review all of the edits and comments. The other will have all of the edits incorporated and be ready for submission.
You can pay for the editing with a credit card, personal check, or University account check.
